The beginning.

It was a new years resolution to "start a blog", like many others, I'm sure.  It took until March--not bad, if you ask me--and here I am. 

I'm a lover of DIY, design, sewing, making anything, really; antiques, doing things on the cheap, and the rush I get from finding something great on the side of the road.  Call me a picker, but I call myself my father's daughter.  I went from a grumbling teenager whenever my father suggested we "take the long way home" on Sundays to see what the neighbors were tossing out, to becoming a 30-something who finds herself out and about with only that purpose in mind.  The girl that bought a hatchback because you never know what you might come across.  The girl who makes erratic sharp turns and sudden breaking with friends in the car because she just has to look at something. 

Now, I'm not suggesting you actually get in the car with me--that last statement might make you want to avoid that anyway, but join me on this cheap-o ride as I search & find, design & DIY!
